India A dropped both of its games; as a result, India B & India C advanced to the championship game. India B defeated India C by 51 runs in the tournament's final game.

The 2019–2020 Deodhar trophy was won by India B, which defeated India C by 51 runs. After defeating the cricket team from India A, the two teams moved on to the championship game. India B's cricket team has already triumphed twice in the competition. The final game was a rematch of the Deodhar Trophy final from the previous year, in which India C, who finished second this season, was crowned the winner after defeating India B by 29 runs.

History & Structure

When Indian cricketers choose to participate in the domestic system, they get access to a variety of advantages. To begin with, kids can develop their talents and become ready for international cricket by participating in competitive games where they may get vital experience. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), which sponsors numerous domestic competitions, also provides financial possibilities for players who compete in them.

The Indian Cricket Team's domestic organization has also enabled the squad to retain a coordinated and efficient selection procedure. This has made it possible for the club to choose the top players from all around the nation and to make sure they are well-equipped for a variety of situations. The domestic framework also offers a way for senior players to rejoin the squad and for new players to advance to the international level. All these opportunities are offered by domestic cricket and Deodhar Trophy is one of them.

The Deodhar Trophy is a relatively brief competition that consists of only four matches. These matches are played as 50-over knockout competitions (often known as one-day cricket), which is essentially a shortened version of the game designed to be completed in a single day. compared to a traditional cricket match, which can occasionally go up to five days. As a result, this is not the most important event for cricket betting, but certain businesses have special deals, so you can still gain a lot from it.

The first version of the competition, which ran from the 1937–1974 season until the 2014–2015 season, consisted of a first session in which 2 zonal teams competed against one another in the quarterfinal stage. The winner then advanced along with the other two remaining zonal teams to the semifinal stage. The four remaining cricket teams competed in the second round, which served as a knockout stage. The Central Zone, North Zone, South Zone, East Zone, and West Zone teams from the Indian Cricket League competed in the event. With a current total of 13 victories, the North zone has taken home the most championships out of the five zones.

The tournament's structure changed from a two-team competition to a three-team competition between the 2015–2016 season and the 2017–2018 season. Each team played every other team in a round-robin style, and the top two teams progressed to the championship game. The BCCI chose India A, India B, and the Vijay Hazare Trophy champion for that year as the three teams.

As previously indicated, the tournament's format has remained consistent from the 2018–19 season to the present: three teams compete in a round-robin round, and the two best teams from that group face off in a single championship game. The key modification is that India A, India B, and India C are now all chosen by the BCCI.
